Hey everone i have a q? im going to move my tank to the other wall after i build my newstand and canopy.. i have some fish and turbo snail  and a hermit crab and 2 shrimp and about 30lbs of LR...and i wanted to know how do i move the fish e.t.c ... when i move it to the new spot will my tank go throw a cycling again? or i can just put everthing right back in?...

this is  a proccess i have gotten  very used to doing first put fish into buckets of tank water( i also add a touch of melafix to reduce stress to each bucket) if you have air bubblers it will reduce the stress on your fish and you wont be  trying to rush do to oxygen  issues.use clean  buckets for this old salt buckets are great dont toss them when empty.or purchase new at local hardware(lil pricey though ) amount will vary on  how large your tank is.if you have corals on your lr  I use rubber made tubs for storing those( not all tubs are equal some have chemicals that can harm your  tank)dont use cheep imatations.you can place a small power head in the tubs to keep water curculating for the corals while setting up the new tank.lr can be place into tubs or a clean cooler with or without water(with if you have inverts hiding in them)save as much water as you can from your tank.if you can move your tank without removing the substrate you will have less chance of stirring it up creating a small cycle.then set up the tank where you want it place a bowl on the bottom of you tank to do a fast drip method of refilling the tank(this will  reduce stir up also of the substrate)and clouding of the tank ad some old tank water about 2 inches above substrate level add LR then  start adding more water.this is also a good time to  do a water change.once you have enough water in your tank replace the fish and any live stock then fill  to desired level. dont worry about the melafix in the tank carbons if you run them will  take that out and it is reef safe. i hope this helps
