That Sock don't look right. Too long right? Shouldn't be touching the bottom right?

Nice just got mine a week or so ago. Got the 2 overflow holes drilled, still have to drill the returns.

Is that a black mesh on the overflow? Mine came with an acrylic lid

What is the mesh for? Does it make it quieter?

You have to adjust the inner lid at an angle or it is loud. Our want lie that until i put a more powerful pump on the tank. You can't here it at all watching tv. I've slept in the living room when i was recovering from surgery and it wasn't bad enough to bother me. I was just trying to figure out the purpose of the mesh.

I keep a lid on my internal overflow and it really quiets it down. Can't even hear it over the skimmer and background noise in the room.

I use the internal lid and the top lid. It is only noticeable when Is quiet at night
