I haven't any clamps. How else can I hold the baffles in place while I silicon them? Got my lines drawn! Lol

I use duct tape on the ends of the baffles at the tank sides.

I've also heard people use the blue painters tape.

Also, be sure to draw the lines on both sides of the tank. You don't want crooked baffles!

Shoot Tom!! I had a hard enough time drawing them on one side-lol.

I'm way behind on this but how many chambers is your sump and is the middle a fuge? Looks like a baffle on the right and a bubble trap on the left side. Like I said I'm behind but I couldn't find a build thread (:)) so I'm sure this has all been hashed over but I'm a little confused.

Hi Rabid!! Your not behind at all. I haven't started a build thread yet. Just waiting til I get all supply's together.

This will be a three chamber sump/fuge. :)

I set my sump on its end and used thick books to hold the glass until I could silicone the baffle in place. It worked for me.

WTH?!! Did I use the wrong silicone?! Nobody told me exactly what to use, just that it had to be 100%
I don't know what made me look all of a sudden (at 5:30am) but I did. Now I'm reading NOT to use the ones made for kitchen, bath & plumbing. Which one did I use? Yuppers! UGH!!

Fine print on container says, not for prolonged underwater use. Ugh!

You want 100% pure silicone without the mold stuff. I use the GE stuff they sell at Home Pepot

Yeah I found out already :( Seems most leave this very important fact out of the building a sump instructions-lol

That silicone has antimicrobials in it to prevent mold and mildew, not good for reef use.
I used GE for Windows and Doors which was 100% silicone.

Believe it or not our Lowes and Menards do not carry the GE Silicone brand! So I just got a couple tubes of the Loc Tite aquarium safe brand.
