Filter Sock setup for my sump?

Looking for ideas so that I can hook up a filter sock setup to my 20g sump. I ordered a holder/4"sock from Gla$$Holes but the holder is way to long. If hung on the sump rim the sock sits on the bottom of the tank and well below the baffle.
What about those tie on socks?

not sure it sitting like that is a problem. i don't like running a sock all the time but when i do it is in the sump water. i just try to remember to change them at least every two days.
