My new 250w XM10k has arrived.My IceCap ballast had no problem firing it.Right now,I'm using the 2 layers of screen method for acclimating.It is very different than what i've been using.My greens aren't that vibrant anymore but purple's look better.The bulb is white with just a slight yellowish cast on SB.I think it will look perfect when i add 1x39wT5 blue+ and 1x39wT5act03.My T5 bulbs should be here today(had to swap current bulbs to other tank due to bulb breakage) so i hope to have pics soon.Overall,for $55,I think they're a good deal.I guess its just gonna take time getting used to it although i'm sure i'll be pleased when the actinics are running.
