I'm looking to buy a couple of 250w MH PS bulbs from them. They are listed for $38.95 each. Is this too good to be true? Are these bulbs any good?

Thanks.

IMO, ya get what ya pay for with most bulbs. The best priced quality (probe start) bulb goes straight to XM's!!! For pulse starts, Hamiltons or Ushios... All just my 2 cents, though.

Well, after a ton of researching, I decided to go with Aqualine ABs. They seem to be the most affordable for pulse start bulbs. I'll let you all know what I think of them. It seems a lot of places carry them, but the best price I found on them was at www.premiumaquatics.com. Just thought I'd toss that out there.

Thanks for the suggestions. They help.

AB's are pulse start bulbs? I run one on a probe start ballast with no problems.

Depends on the wattage. From what I could tell, the only pulse start they have are their 250w MH bulbs. Check out this link: http://www.aquarium-lighting-guide.com/metal-halide-ansi It'll show you who provides what. Pretty cool and nice to have available. Maybe I should have Dakar post it here.

Our AB is a 175w so that probably explains it. Still don't understand why they make different wattages for different style ballasts.
