Can anyone help me with the ID on these corals? I am just babysitting them in my tank for a few months until my cousin gets his tank re-established from an out of state move. He didn't know much about them either. I know that the 1 is a mushroom coral of some sort, but I'm not sure about it's care and placement requirements. The rest I know nothing about.

The first 3 are leather corals. picture 1 looks line a singulara and the 3rd picture is a sacrophyton. the fourth picture are green star polyps. the last like you said are shrooms.

looks like a (common names) sinulara, finger laether, long tentacle leather, green star polyps, and rhodactis mushrooms. all should do well under at least power compact lighting. it really depends on YOUR lights as to where to place them.

I have 3-150 watt metal halides and 4-96 watt pc's. It's a Corallife fixture. Are the 'shrooms bettrer in a low current spot? can all of them be split or fragged?

all can be fragged or split. the mushrooms will do better in a low - med. flow area. i would place them all in a low to medium light level im the tank.

Thank you everyone for your help and input. I'll need to find some lower spots for most of them then.

Throw some carbon in your tank and do lots of water changes cause those corals will get involved in a little chemical warfare. It goes on heavily in my tank but water changes keep them all fairly happy.

agreed, i run carbon 24/7 on our soft coral tank, as they do sometimes compete with chemicals.
