I ordered these corals earlier this week, I believe that they were a day late in transit. 2 of the bags had a bad smell to them when they were opened. I ordered them from GARF, so I do not actually know what they are or if they are even ok. I'm guessing that white color equals dead. Am I right?:(

I was afraid of that. I tried to get a hold of GARF today with no luck. Hopefully I can get them to send me another shipment. The styrofoam cooler was cracked on one side and there was water in the outer bag, and the box.

Is there any chance that these can come back?

a very slim chance, as it only takes 1 living cell to rejuvinate an entire coral. the color loss is due to the coral loosing it Zoanthella. these are what a coral uses to feed itself through photosynthisis.if it doesn't have these it can not eat.

Whoa, I've never seen a coral arrive like that! What is that last one?

maybe a pink cats paw (stylophora pistillata) or thick branched montipora digitata ?? looks kinda like my stylophora without the pink/purple color.

LOL... it's the sound you make as the air rushes out of your lungs, with a little voice box involvement, after being kicked in the stomach hard.... ERF! Go ahead try it. :-)

You were sitting there going through all the different phrases you could think of to fit E.R.F., weren't you?
