I have had reef tanks from 15 gal to 300 gal over the last 15 years but never a predator tank or FOWLR so I'm doing a build now. This tank will be for a Zebra eel 100 gallon 4x24x20 acrylic aquarium, that I will be building myself Tank, Stand & Canopy. Pictures to follow soon.

After the tank stand and canopy were built, I decided to start on the rock work using Marco rock and a 4 inch PVC pipe for the eel to use as a cave. I used wire ties and cement to hold the structure together as from my understanding zebra eels are notorious for tumbling over rock work so I needed to make sure everything was secure I also wanted to keep it elevated and only supported by three rocks so that I get no detritus buildup, I also cut a slot in the bottom of the 4 inch PVC about a half an inch wide so that detritus cannot build up inside of the PVC pipe if all goes correctly any waste will fall out the bottom.

This will be where I'm up to date with the build, in the next pic's you will see that I built the sump 36x18x15 out of 3/8 acrylic and a 10gallon ATO box 20x9x12 odd size but this is the only space I can use in the stand next to the sump.
