I'm gauging interest to see what you guys think. I'm currently trying to get a group of people together to do a behind the scenes tour of the new Sea Life Michigan Aquarium. I'm currently in contact with Sea Life about this and they are showing interest. Not sure on the details, cost or time frame. I know it won't be under after the New Year as they aren't open to the public yet.

Please post on here or PM me if you are interested in more information when it becomes available.

I was hoping someone would put together a tour when I first read about this. Auburn Hills is too close for me NOT to be interested. I have a 6 yr old that would love to see it as well. Not sure how they feel about kids coming out for this. But, schedule depending, I would be interested even if I wasn't able to bring my daughter.

Very Cool.

I didn't even know that there was an Aquarium being Built.

Ya they filled it last week. The one tank took two days. ~120,000 gallons

Will it be on a weekend? If so I want in.

If they are ok with it I would prefer to have it on a weekend most defiantly.

I would definitely be up for a trip with the family to check it out. We were all wanting to go anyways, so a behinds the scene tour would be too good to pass up.

Is this the one at the Great Lakes Crossing mall?

A freind of mine just landed the talks and entertainments job at Sea Life Michigan aquarium there, wondering if its the same place.

My friend just got that job too (I think there were multiple positions).

Is your friend Sam or is it somebody else?

I've seen it a few times from the outside, it's definitely going to be a sweet place when finished.

I just bought the yearly family pass. You can get them on line now for $200 for a family of 4

Took my family to sea life today, mostly what I expected it caters to the general public which has no clue about the hobby. For the most part it was pretty good, but unfortunately not one single piece of live coral ( bummer) there was one room though that was simplicity at it's best and absolutely stunning. I don't want to give it away but I could sit in the middle of this room for hours on end. Little tip (100's of schooling fish going around and around)
