well guys, you will not believe the deal that i just got !!! hmmmm, how should i put this as not to make anyone super jealous ?? oh, what the heck ... today i picked up a yellow long tenticle (sp??) toadstool leather. VARIOUS (to many to list) mushrooms, a reef fish magazine all for $105 !! oh yeah, i forgot to put the 250w HALIDE RETRO KIT (with bulb) in there ... duh !! pics of the livestock to follow after acclimation. please dont hate me, but my luck is still on !!

well, i did have to do a little work at the LFS to get the halide for that price. but, whats a little work when you LOVE the kind of work you are doing ?? i had to help reaquascape a display tank (180 bowfront) and catch 2 fish (domino DAMNsel and a sohol tang) then redo all the rock, AND they were so busy that i had to catch and bag some fish for customers. but it was well worth it ... to me anyway !!

i bought his too, Greg !! i needed a third one for the 125 (6') tank. i only got 2 from him. but all is well ... they arrived today and everything is going into the canopy on saturday !! i am also like a kid at Christmas, butterflies in the belly and everything !! i will post picks when i get everything the way i want it on saturday.

LOL. It looks like we all put in extra at our LFS to get deals. Ours presently owes us.... but they said if they needed anything....... and I will hold them to it. (I'm thinking now I should have got them to house some of our fish while we moved).

Me and the boyfriend are known to run around LA with our little Sick Seahorse medicine chest (it's a tool box on wheels containing everything I would possibly need to treat a sick seahorse). We need to cash in on a few favors and get us some new lights!!

i wish it was jojo !! i cant wait to see the new lights in the canopy. i have to put the halides in my ank and switch over some of the VHO's to the wifes tank. its gonna be a long day, cuz i also have to suspend the 125 canpoy from the ceiling.

i am a little disappointed in the color of the 250w XM bulb, i bet you cant tell which one it is, can you ?? yup its the one that doesn't match !! but i am searching e-bay right now for another coralife reeflux 250 !! i know i need to move a few corals from direct halide lights, i just haven't had the time yet. as ALWAYS i hit a snag in switching the VHO's, now of the 3 that are going back on the 55gal. only 1 is working and i see NO problems in the configuration. hmmmm. i better get to thinking cuz the wife wants some LPS's !!

that is what i am looking for !! there is a HUGE difference in the MX 10k and the Coralife 10k !! the coralife is MUCH crisper or bluer than the XM.

well i had to build a new canopy over the last few days. the old one just wasn't cutting it for me. to much of the light was escaping from the tank because it was hanging from the ceiling. so here are pics of the new one ...

keep in mind that it still need to be stained and the crown molding added to the canopy !! i hate the way that it does not match the stand, maybe i can get to that tomarrow !!
