That doesn't quit have the same exciting ring to it as Greg's thread does it.
But all the same I am setting up a 40 gallon Mantis tank to house my Peacock and the Chiragra. Both are over 4 inches.
I had the stand custom built so that it would be extra tall abotu 36" I think. The tank itself is a 40 long and if we just got the normal height stand we would have to get on our knees to look in.... I HATE that.
So we set it up and something wasn't quite right. The tank looked so squishy.

It was sitting too deep in the stand.
Check out the clear for life sticker....

So we thought maybe we would get a sheet of 3/4" plywood and cut it to fit under the tank. We had to cut the area in the back out for the overflow.

Fits like a glove.

We also took a sheet of styro to cut the same to go onderneath the plywood to help with any uneveness.

So, the tank itself is custom because it is going to house 2 large Mantis'. The key is the blackdivider.

K, here comes my teflon animation I just made......lol
A lot of my friends have had trouble in the past with putting teflon on in the right direction. The way I do it is.... turn the end you will be placing teflon on towards you, position it so you are looking down the barrel. Then place the teflon on in a clock-wise direction.

I have to go find a picture of how a friend once applied his teflon. You'll laugh.

Shhhhh. This is how my friend decided to fix a leaky connection when I told him to use teflon. I thought it was so cute. I hope he never comes over here or I'll be killed.
