Ive used it mainly because I have a clam and some feather dusters. Which are the primary consumers of phytoplankton. From my understand (I have a thread elsewhere) corals do not eat phytoplankton since its plant based, instead they eat zooplankton that is meaty based. Phyto is mainly consumed by clams (usually young ones), feather dusters, and other filter feeders.

If you are going to use any phytoplankton product, DT's is by far the best out there. I feed some to my tank from time to time along with Cyclop-Eeze and DT's oyster eggs.

I like the Algagen product better than DT's, it has more of the brown algae which is better for smaller clams. I have even noticed better PE on SPS, have you tried it yet Steven?

Nope. Haven't even seen it. Where do you get it?
