i have a 4 ft fresh water tank that i want to convert to a marine tank.
Anny special precautions that one should take.

Just be sure you have not used any copper meds in the tank if you want a reef. It may have leached into the seals and could leach back out killing all your coral and inverts.

Do a search on CR for cleaning a used tank. I have posted several times on the method using 0.1N HCl if you can not find it I can explain the process again.
