Now that bites.... how about cutting PVC into slices just large enough to keep the rock up? just drill some holes in the side so water can flow through a bit and they also make for great houses for pods.

thanks guys! i ended up putting some kind of rock paver under the sand for the rock to sit on. with the luck i have been having (for got to tell you all that my 20GL crashed about 3 weeks ago) i am just going with a FO tank for now. i still have my nano reef but i am a little gun shy right now.
i about 2 hours south of champaign. thanks for the offer but i think i have done everything i can do for now.
when i first started my tank i did my research on what to do when/if i ever got ich. but that was a year ago. i knew i wanted to do a FW dip but i got the time confused with doing a formiline (sp?) dip. so the poor 4 fish that i caught where in the FW dip for about 15-20 mins. but they are fine, alittle slow on eating but still eating, however i don't think the dragonet will make it.
