Thanks chris! I'm excited for this one, I am using millipore water that i am stealing from CMU's Bioscience building so i have extra clean water to use as far as water changes. My roommate works there so i get a hook-up, i'm like 5 days in and not seeing much of a cycle starting yet but we will see what happens

Thanks!, just gotta figure out how I'm gonna stick an AC110 on the side as a refugium as I'm having trouble finding a way to suspend my led

So.. nothing is really changed yet. Up and running for 9 days now, tested the water yesterday and was showing 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and a little bit of nitrate's. Oddest cycle I've had yet, could be the fact i used new virgin rock along with a piece of live, and live sand along with some water from an existing system. Who knows, looks like it may end up being a short cycle but i'll give it another few days and test again.

PVC or metal conduit, with elbows and T's will build a very nice stand for your led light.

legs along side of the tank horizontally w/ elbows to go around the back. T in the center of the back for conduit to do vertical, and elbow at desired height, more conduit to suspend above center of tank horizontally again. Install hanging hook, spray paint it and good to go to hang your light from.

Similar to this-

But with longer front legs, no back legs, laying flat next to the sides of your tank, and a hook in place of the turn down and light bulb.

Yeah thats what I'm planning on, something along those lines, good inspiration there! Gotta figure out a way to get my AC110 on the side of the tank as well to run rubble and chaeto

Run the cheato in the skimmer and ditch the rubble....

Rubble can be run in either corner of the tank- ha!!!

Or behind the rockwork where you don't have to clean behind....

Ive done it in my old cpr bak-paks, in the exit chamber, in place of that bio-bail or whatever it was called...might work in your octopus.
