finally have the construction of the stand finished, just need to stain and seal it
the sump is finished, just letting it cure before I wet test it

Need to determine what size return pump to bring the water back to the tank.

some specifics:
75gallon display
35gallon sump (running volume)
3compartment, return in middle, fuge on 1 side, mech. filters on other
gonna make a spray bar to run horizontal to the top of the water in the display
water will have to travel about 5feet into the tank. Going to use as much hose as possible and the least amount of pvc bends as possible.

Will plumb a return back into the middle section, so a little to0 much pump would be ok.

So, what size p ump should I get? I forget the amount of flow you want from tank->sump->tank

what are peoples opinions of Via Aqua pumps? Can get a decent deal I think on one. Just curious as to reliability/noise

thanks

They do not last as long as the mag drive pumps. They also will heat the water more. I also don't think they have the "push" of some of the other pumps. Just my experience.
