I have a seaclone 100 that I want to use in my sump for the nano contest. Does anyone see a problem with cutting off the outlet spout and letting the water returning to the sump just run down the outside of the skimmer body.

Thanks for the help!!

Salt creep and bubbles are the only down side I can think of.

I can deal with those. It will be before baffles and a wet rag works wonders for creep. I didn't think there would be a problem but wanted to learn from others mistakes if there where any to learn from.

AAAHHH HAAAA!! Gona snag my idea huh??
I did it and it seems to work. I'll get you some pics tomorrow. It only really works if you open the air valve all the way. Otherwise it still pushes the water out way to fast and it splashes all over. But if you have a set of baffles they should all get caught.

All you have to do is remove the tube that conects the pump and the chamber. You can then directly connect them. I did this mod to save space as it is for the nano contest and 10 gal is not much for a 3 chamber sump.
