Yeah that's a love hate situation. I love the tank and hate the fact that it's NOT MINE!!!

I just my set up was clean like that. If you click on the pictures it makes them larger so you can see the details. Very clean set up.

I forget how, but I found that site shortly after I started my first tank. I loved it so much that I have the site referenced under sites "of interest" on my website (along with Marc's ;))! I have spent so much time browsing through, reading and taking in the beauty of it! It really is an inspiration for all of us! Thanks for sharing it here and reminding us of the amazing possibilities! :)

Very nice system. I would love to see it person. I am guessing it is up in the Portland area.

I'd love to meet Steve myself one day. That set up is absolutely amazing. His site is easy to read and content is simple.
He's got a killer cold water tank that I've been reading about on Reef Central for the past couple of months. Those corals are so different from what we see, and apparently there is only one coldwater coral / fish vendor in the nation.

Watch Blue Planet when they cruise the depths of those translatlantic trenches (can't think of the names), Almost every one of those critters down there would be just awesome to keep captive... of course the lack of pressure would do them in before they even made it to the surface. Below a few hundred feet is a whole 'nother world living in darkness.
Now something like a 100g tank with a few smaller squid would be really neat... I've always wanted to give an octopus tank a shot....they are WAY smart! But I'd never get any sleep with worry about there being a tiny crack he'd get out of, well that and watching all the time.
