what temp should a good reef tank be  what is the best the very best temp it should be stableized at?

I use 80 deg. but I know a lot of people would call that high.

I wouldnt.
Mine varies between 80 and 83.   I was out in the Keys last summer and the water was 85/86 and everything seemed pretty happy.  If you have the circulation I dont see whats wrong with it being warm.  (Cause warmth = less oxygen).  I plan to hold it steady at 82 once I have the chance.

80 - 81F would be similar to what many corals in nature live in.  Since we buy our corals from such temperatures, it seems logical to me that our tanks should match it.

Mine stays at about 79-81.  it's hard to keep the temp the same up in the mountains.
