here we go my diy project new canopy and stand 55g

ok here is some pic of my diy.. doing the canopy first will put up pic of stand later...and there is an old pic of my stand too..

2x2 for the frame of the canopy .and 2x4 for the stand

i have to go to hd today to get the styrofoam.. Q what size of the foam i should get 1/2" or 3/4"..... and i'm going to have 1/2" for the molding

ha ha jo jo =)...... hummer my mesurments for my stand is L49 3/4 X H 28 7/8 X W 27 3/4 its a big one lol... and as for the sump i still have an open side of the stand so i can put the sump in ..... and im doing some test runs for water moving so i dont have to used the powerheads

o really...jo jo i have to re test it maybe i did not test it right.... stevebla i will be useing a 20gl or a 30gl for my sump my flow i dont know yet lol but i will have it all down dy the end of the day ....maybe ha ha

i used my old lights that came with my tank and turn then into moon lights ...they work ok as u can see in the pic ...ty cweber... pic 4 at the top with the lights they was just on the tank

gf pick up some new LR at the lfs today yeeeeaaaaa ....but dont ask what kind of rock it is.....she told me that she like the look of it ........so i said ok with my head down and a beer in one hand and said ty for the rocks.


it hads some mushroom on it ..and something like and small anemone not sure to small to get a pic

well was a the LFS and got a 20L for $15;) they had a 20% off on everthing in the store ...my gf had to kick me out cuz i was going crazy :eek: so i have so of the things i need for the sump had to go to HD got some more....

What is the little section between LR and return?? Baffels??? If it's empty I would extend the LR section all the way to the return!! also what route will your water take, lr section then fuge, the other way around or will it be split between the two??


Edit: I see, I think!! How are you gettin water to the fuge?? it appears the baffel for the LR section is shorter so the water would go that way instead of into the fuge which is higher. I know I am brobably just being dumb and making it seem harder than it is, but please explain.
