Zoos and shrooms get most of what they need through photosynthesis correct? Do they need spot feed as well?

They generally don't need spot fed but they will grow and multiply faster that way.

If these are all i want to keep, do I still need 150 watts? Im confused since nobody really uses the watt per gallon rule. How many watts of T-5 would I need? I kind of would like to use these instead so i can run actinics.

I would say that 100 to 150W would be ideal. You could look around there is someone on this site selling a t-5 set up with an icecap 660 and the waterproof endcaps for like 150 bux.

you can supplement the water columm as a sort of "spot feeding" with some phytofeast and stuff like that. I feed some of my larger specemins like palythoas and they grow at incredible rates but for the most part the above is correct. I have fed my zoos cyclopeeze and they have eaten it. but they will be fine with good light and good water quality.
