I've got red slime in my tank and it doesn't seem to be going away. I did a search and have been doing the water changes, reduced my light cycle by an hour (9AM-3PM) and reduced my feeding. I checked my water at the LFS to make sure my readings were the same. Any Suggestions? What causes this? I've tried scraping it off the glass and sucking it out but it keeps coming back. Please help.

It's a natural occurance and will subside in time throughout the duration of the aging of your tank. IMO, check your calcium and alkalinity levels and see that they are in balance... phosphate bonds with the calcium ion and when unbalanced, if the ion doesn't precipitate, neither does the phosphate thus allowing cyanobacteria(red slime).

red slime control by blue life works great, just turn off ur skimmer and follow directions on box.

or for a much easier and less stressful way get urithromyacin umm i dont think thats spelled right but oh well.

It's still not going away. I was at the LFS yesterday and they said that in order to get rid of the slime you need to treat the tank with medication like greg said in the last post. Is this true? I think I found two things that might be causing it though. My RO/DI filters need to be changed and the mysis shrimp I'm feeding is more oily and needs to be rinsed before feeding. Is this common?

Problem with "cure all's" is that although they may work great at removing the bacteria(red slime) they may also have a very ill effect on those bacteria you don't see that are very beneficial if not essential to a healthy reef. IMO, take your time, be patient and keep your feedings down. Are you using a protein skimmer?
