I was just wondering what the correct alk is for a reef tank. Mine is at 6.0, my calcium is around 440-450 and pH at 8.0. Should I make any adjustments?
Thanks

Correct, 8 to 11 dKH. Or 2.86 to 3.89 meq/l

HOW DO YOU RAISE THE ALK?

You can purchase various products designed to raise Alkanity and pH. They work together quite often.

Of you can raise it with Baking Soda. Mix up a teaspoon in a cup of RO water, and then add it gradually to the tank in an area of high flow. Wait a few minutes, then test the water to see what the level is. Add more until you've reached 8 dKH.
