View Full Version : Nano Reef cweber's nano starting life

Well i guess im a little late starting this. I have my tank up and running for a while now. The cycle is completed and i have two snails and two hermits at the moment. I just got my reef test kit and here are some of the test results.

I will be getting some frags about wednesday. I will post pics when they arrive and are acclimated. Plans for fish are a little different from most choices. A pair of clown fish:). Hopefully the end of the month.

Update! Most of the corals have opened up, and ive rescaped abit. I added two pounds of LR ruble to the fuge. Here are my readings.

Ok i tryed to take pics and got three before the batteries went dead again. Also i recieved a refractometer, marine snow, fish food, and a corallife power strip.

I think I have similar zoos, they seem to grow pretty fast.

Im hoping so! More than anything im waiting for them to attach to their rocks. My hermies keep knocking them over. :(

I lost a few of the green ones i was telling you about, and the finger leather still hasnt opened up. Any suggestions?

The ones you lost where off the big frag right??? I would put the finger leather under the halide the other half is doing great there.

I really like how you've curved the rocks into a "C" shape... I don't think I've seen a pic of a tank aquacaped that way! It's very unique and quite attractive! :)

Saturday i bought a yellow clown goby(cute lil' bugger), and she threw in two free zoo frags. Dont know what they are yet, but i will post pics as soon as they open.

Second pic up, notice the bottom of the right polyp, Its a baby!

I think i might sell the 55 gallon so i can get some more frags and other stuff.

Thanks hummer! Ive thought about it but dont have the money to start the 55 as SW. I would rather save up to start the 125. I think abour the middle of august, im going to order a few more and call it good and let the ones in the tank grow out. I have 9 right now, I hope for 15-20, and maybe a fish or two more.

The first pic are 4 quarter sized toadstools and the second is red with blue spot mushrooms. There are about 10 shrooms on the rock. The pink palys in the pic with the toadstool, are growing one poylp a week now. Thats about all thats changed.

Hello again! Its been a while but I'm back. I finished the 20g and have since upgraded to a 75g. I will start a new thread for it soon. I hope everyone is doing well and cant wait to see your tanks!:D
