water pump?

I need a submersible h2o pump for a 75 gal. I am thinking of plumbing the sump in the basement directly below the tank. Needs to pump about 10 ft from sump to tank. Needs to be able to pump, what, about 500-600 gph at 10'. Like low energy!!!!

What about a mag 18?

I got a Mag 18 to pump from my 75 "Sumpzilla" upstairs to the display. Haven't plumbed it yet, but by spec, is should work.

I use two Rio 32HF to go upstairs, but I may have to check out the mag 18 for when mine give up.

Just remember that the Mags are pigs..use a lot of energy and do transfer heat. You'll have to compensate for that, unless, like me, the sump etc. is in a basement that is chilly, year round.

Anyone have any experience with the pondmaster 50 mag pumps, they are supposed to do 5000 gph and 1500gph at 15' head. I think I may switch to one of those as I am going up 10-12 feet and running horizontally 20'. They look to be a huge pump, made by Mag Drive but for pond applications. do you think that would be to much flow out of a sump? I would think it should be ok, I just don't know if it would cause too much flow in the sump?
