I have given away all my books on basic aquarium setups, and now I'm ready to put sand and water in my new tank tomorrow. I don't know how many pounds of sand and gravel I need to get 2-3 inches. The new tank is 6 feet long by 30" wide. While I'm here any recomedations for a protein skimmer. The tank is 230 gal. I've been seeing the Turbofloter needle wheel hyped in the big supply store catalogs and was wondering if anybody had tried them.

Thanks, Andy

100lbs. in a 55 is 5" deep so I guess 200lbs. should be close to 2-3 inches. Thanks Hummer
