I too have LR a thick bed of sand and Cheato. I also just ordered some Red Graciliaria Macroalgae to add. I have read it grows and provides benifits similar to Cheato, but tangs love to eat it. Kind of growing my own food. With some luck it will work out. I also have some hermits down there and an Exiled Damsel that hitch Hiked in with some live rock I bought some years back...

Pretty much the same as everyone else. One cool thing you can do it make a shaded area, say underneath a DIY eggcrate table to hold the skimmer up. This area will help by providing an area for non photosynthic creatures like soft tube worms and such to help filter the water more.
You could also put a brine shrimp hatchery down there too. Its cool to see a few shoot out into the DT through the return and watch the fish chase it around!
