Brian's 270 Starphire

Well most of you have see this before but I thought I would add it here to share.:D.

The tank designed as followed:
270 gallon (72x36x24) 3 sided Starphire glass

4 1/2" Eurobracing

Trimless

One internal overflow:
(2) 1.5" bulkhead for drain and (1) 1" bulkhead for return

black vinyl back applied to exterior of back panel and black silicone.

Here is my current equiment list that I have been gathering over the last year or so. 90% of it I have and I'm sure there will be more to add as I go along with the build.

So, where did you hear the rumor :)?

Yes I did lose the first one on Sat. The one in QT is the blueline I got from Jermey (jmaneyapanda) a few week before I lost the first on I got. The plan was to pair the two, but it will have to wait :(.

Ya, it wasn't my best day. I was on a 48 hr shift so there wasn't much I could do about it :(. The rest of the fish are doing good.

Last night I was able to get a few picture of what I hope will not be the start of a war between two of my flame wrasses. A submale, that might be turning "supermale" decided to test the waters a bit.

I hope to have five flames, they have been together for over 5 months so I seee no reason anything would change :). As for other wrasses Pink Margin Fairy Wrasse, Rhomboid, Lineatus, may be a few others.

The blueline is doing great. I added him in last week Friday. As for pairing it, yes I will it's just a hard fish to find small nice healthy ones.

Hey Steve, I not sure if it's the Cali tort/Ora tort or not. I have the Cali tort/Ora tort and this one grows much slower. I received this tort from John Brancheau a few years ago and he was not sure what tort it was. He thought it might be the Oregon, but it is not.

I have a nice colony of the ORA TORT ( under 25w phoenix) then I fragged a small piece to put on my 40g ( T5 tank ) and for some reason both look different .. The one under t5 is showing green to it and the colony is bright blue..

I agree, it does like alot like the ORA/Cali. The only difference is it grows slower. I'm not sure I'll keep both or not . There many other corals that I need to add yet :).

Juvenile Chaetodontoplus septentrionalis. She smaller then a half dollar and just a bit bigger the a quarter :D.

Is that acrylic cage your only method of capture? Curious cause Im having a hellavu time catching just a couple wrasse.

As for the guessing, Im not up on my centros but the first one looks like it may be a juvy blue line??

My bad, I cut and pasted the wrong fish.

She wasn't to trilled but i promised it would all be done before Christmas. As for the fish, not all like there time out :(.
