I ordered one today - wohoo!!! Sold my reactor and 2 vortechs to finance this one but I have wanted a skimmer like this for a few years now (every since I saw John B's Bubble King) and the equipment was just sort of collecting dust. I should have it by mid-week becuase I have it coming from Premium with free shipping!!

Congrats on the new skimmer! I would love a cone skimmer, but can't afford one right now. I am using the Vertex IN-100 and absolutely love it! It's very well made. Thank you Royal Exclusiv for coming out with top of the line skimmers that are affordable! BTW can't wait to see pics of it in action!

It is going in this weekend. I have to re-route the plumbing to dump into the first chamber (not a biggie to do) where the water is constantly 8" high. That is optimum and when I changed sumps I had this one baffled for an eventual internal skimmer. I have the H&S external now and It is a great skimmer but I wanted to try this one. I can say that I have never seen this kind of quality before. THese are poster children for attention to every little detail.

Mike, which tube are you going to use? IMO leave yourself some tuning room with water depth. You might find that it will perform better at 10" Just a thought, but I think you have the same RD as me just 2 of them

I am using the one that is 57MM. It will increase the air pull to water I think.

I have 2 RD 1500's for this one. What size is yours?

1500 but the volute might be different. The water depth will affect back pressure and when my water was lower I had to keep the discharge way closed to get the foam head up where I needed it. I actually cut one of my tubes to 47mm to try it and that didn't work to well for me. Jeremy sent me a 59mm to replace it.

SHe is making skimmate now. Still a tad wetter than I would like but the H&S has pretty much stopped producing now that this is breaking in.
