Dissolved organic compounds can have a yellowing effect on your water. A couple of ways to cremove the are the use of Activated carbon changed weekly. Another way is the use of ozone although in my opinion it should be in addition to carbon not as a replacement. Third is the use of probiotics or carbon/bacterial driven systems. You can find more info on this here.

Ozone will oxidize the organics (bleach them) and this will clear the water. CArbon is also a good way as stated. Andy and I are both using pro-biotic methods on our systems and this too will clear the water nicely.
