I'll be home after this week for a few weeks, so I'll be figuring out what tank I want to use at that time.

So...I've been a bit lackadaisical about this whole Nano contest, but I've decided to get off my butt and do something to participate. I've been extremely busy with work, and actually lost interest in my existing tanks for a few weeks. But I'm back! :)

I need to get either a battery for my camera, or a new camera... so I'm not sure if I'll get pics posted yet today. I'm off to make the decision on what tank I'm going to use. I have several options - 10g, 20g, 5g, and an Eclipse.

I wish you all the best of luck. Cuz you're gonna need it if I'm in this thing. LOL :tongue_out:

I'm still weighing my options. I already have a 3g Pico, so I may want to go a bit bigger than the 5g. My Pico is doing very well. I think with where I'm going to put the Nano, I'll probably go with the 20g long. Jury is still out though. :) Have to wait and see for the pictures of my selection.

2 dozen would look awesome in my 300g!! I've had that one mushroom since last summer. It has yet to grow another. It does look like it might be leaving a few new ones now though.

I just replaced one of my stock bulbs today with an ATI Blue Plus.
ReeferRob and I finished a trade that started a few months back today as well. So I've added those goodies to my tank.

That is so odd that the clown is hosting the cap. One of my little guys used to do that too until he found the spawn. Weirdo, its like sleeping in a bed of nails!!

Did Ben T come from another tank, or did you just get him and lucked out that he has such a great personality?

Ben T is actually a deformed clownfish. I got him from Fishtal. He was being picked on in his other home. He is top fish in the nano. That's easy though since he is the only fish in that tank. :)

A full shot of the rock with the new corals from FEB 15 after adding the new corals to the tank. Still working on individual pictures. I just cannot get the colors to true up at all on the new corals. Everything is completely washed out.

I also included a shot with each coral having an arrow pointed at it. LOL I will put a coral name with the numbers later. Maybe I'll even do a better job using a different program...like Paint. Way too tired tonight! :)

I can't wait to see the pictures!

Thanks! The rock on the left is multiple rocks held together with a plethora of zip ties. I had an idea of what I wanted when I started down this path. While it is not exactly what I was going for, I'm still pretty happy with the outcome. It was a good first try.

Now I have something to shoot for on my next tank. LOL "next tank"!!! Someone shoot me now.

Added an Emerald Crab yesterday and Nassarius Snails. No pics of the rascally emerald crab. But he has been very busy cleaning house!

Red mushroom finally finished with splitting...so now there are two! Without the help of scissors!

I looked in my tank this afternoon and guess what I have now!

I have snail eggs. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe these to be Nassarius snail eggs.

I googled it before I posted the pic... and to the best of my knowledge, that is what they are. But we all know how the interweb is full of misinformation. LOL It'll be interesting to see if they are there when I get home. The only fish in my nano are the clown and watchmen. There are hermits and urchins. I don't think I've ever seen my hermits climb up glass though. :)

A new update with only a couple of pics...

With all the travel I've been doing, I've had some minor issues going on with my tank. Between evaporation and critters knocking my corals into the sand while I'm gone I've been struggling a bit.

I think everything is back on track. I'm waiting to see how my pokerstar monti turns out.. if it can make it through an ordeal of being face down in the sand for a few days... 3 different times. Also, my birdsnest and acro were both glued down, yet in the sand when I got home from traveling.

I'm home now with no expectation of travel for the next few weeks anyway. I'll take more pics when I have a bit more time. Work is insane these days.

Quick Update on some growth. I have more pics, just takes time to get them cropped, uploaded, etc. I've not had a ton of time recently, but here is one set of pictures. Thanks guys. Been trying to keep the growth photos of each coral in their own folders, but the other night, I really had to hunt through all my "nano" folders to find the pics I needed. It was good to get at least 3 sets posted.

When I have more time, I'll have to do the same thing for some of the others that I have.

Hi Jim,
Tank is in good shape. I have a snail hatchery! LOL Coral growth is really good in my opinion. I'm really happy with how far it's come in such a short amount of time. My digi is encrusting on the life rock now, acro is growing, birdsnest have really grown out. Even my montis are looking good. The Pokerstar...wasn't sure if it was going to make it as it spent a lot of time face down in the sand when I was traveling. But it's actually coming around as well.

Got some more comparison pics that I need to get up here. Working 80 hrs a week lately has not left a lot of time for anything other than sleeping. Sailing season has started, so I've squeezed in a little of that here and there.
