we have had this coral for awhile and its been looking like this for about porbally more than a month, at first it looked good then this happened, is bad? what should i do if it is?

First I would ask for a better discription on the tank specifics. For example, lighting, flow, placement of coral and your params? Also how long you have had the coral and where you got it?

Initially it looks as though the flow is fine as I think I see some polyps poking out. But lack of color tells me it might be experiancing some lighting shock.

well it has low flow, we have a 24" tank with 3 t-5s, 2-10ks and 1 blue and some times trun on the 175W haldie, all params good we go the coal form a friend it looked good for awhile then started looking like this

Specifically what are your params? Be sure to check pH and alk.

Are there any other corals near by with similar issues?

When's the last time you did a water change?

+1 on the ph and alk test..if its not that then i would look at lighting..research the coral and see what its lighting and flow requirements are..
