Coral Collecting Club (idea)

I have been trying to put together a small group of fellow reefers. the idea is to pool our money and our corals. The idea is simple corals are expensive no doubt so say I have a $100 to spend can't do much with that. but lets say I had 9 other friends with a $100 bucks I now have a $1000 in buying power. we pick a lfs or somebody online or a local reefer. we will most likely get some deals or at least larger frags. we agree to exchange corals between us. this again allows our buying power to go further and helps protect us in case one of us loose a frag. does this idea sound crazy and is there any interest from fellow reefers. I think it have to be local groups in order for it to work.

Sounds like a good idea to me. I guess the key is to find people that live close to each other.

the idea could be done with basically anybody any where. the trick is getting a group that work together well. that is the hardest part of this idea beyond that it's pretty easy. get together bs agree on where to buy, how much each will spend some could choose to spend more then others I just like keeping it equal for simplicity. buy the corals grow them out get back together share! etc etc. the other part of this is combined buying power!
