The theme of MACNA XVII is "Expanded Horizons"

Reef Fishes, Invertebrates and Biotopes
Advances in Technologies
K-12 Education
Reef Conservation and Regulatory Issues

The core of the MACNA has always been the hobbyist. Advances in technologies and the Reef Fishes, invertebrates and biotopes tracks will definitely deliver on our core commitment to make this conference a leader. Expanding on this theme, we bring a dedicated track on K-12 education allowing educators, students and hobbyists with children to participate.

In addition to the above listed speaker tracks, we also will be offering a track on Reef Conservation and Regulatory Issues. The Pew Oceans Commission has brought to light the serious nature of the challenges facing our world

This years schedule has everything from the authorities on coral, fish, and all of the micro-fauna that lives in the reef, to the most knowledgeable people on the equipment needed to keep the livestock healthy and thriving. In addition, we have lined speakers to talk about K-12 Education in the classroom, Conservation and responsible reef-keeping, & Legislation
