wow it has been awhile. i will try n snap some update shots soon. one thing i will say is last week i used stress guard because my tang wanted to see how my powerhead felt. but anyway not 1 of my corals would open up. i will never use it again.

Are they open now? Is it supposed to be reef safe?

WOW! I would have never expected that reaction. According to SeaChem it is reef safe, and is supposed to be a "slime coat replacer" for fish. Much like aloe vera that we use for our hands.

I'll shoot an e-mail off and see what they say Adam.

Hello Mike,
Thank you for your email. When dosed according to the instructions, StressGuard should not adversely affect corals. What kind of the corals were the ones that closed up? How much of the product was used in what volume of water? The best thing to do if the corals are still irritated would be to perform a decent size (30%+) water change and run a bunch of carbon. If there was possibly one specific coral that was irritated and then begun to produce toxins as a result of this irritation, it can cause a chain reaction. Carbon and water changes should correct this.

I will hook you up with water and carbon if you need Adam...

-Mike

mike ill take 5 gallons of salt mix next time i come in to do another water change. but i usually dont run carbon and didnt so no need for any of that. but as soon as i added the stress guard my skimmer went crazy. which i did expect. but anyway the fish are doing great. even "lucky" my baby yellow tang who lived thru a maxi-mod attack which was the reason i added the stress guard. ill post pics up tomorrow guys.
