I think we need some sort of group therapy or something. I'm pretty confident this thread would have zero responses if I asked for only replies from people that could walk into a LFS to get a single item and leave with JUST that item.

What a horrible affliction we have.... go into there to grab some phytoplankton, maybe a sea cucumber or two if they have any and thats it, simple right? NOT. Ended up doing the coral shopping by proxy thing again.... think I can blame the new cell phone? It gets me into trouble, see cool critters, take pictures, email them home to Angel, and buy stuff!

Picked up a few new critters. A really nice Green Slimer, some new blue zoanthids, and finally found a pagoda cup we liked. We'll got some pics up tommorrow when the lights come back on.

I suppose we can't call it reefer's remorse, cause I sure don't feel any remorse, regret or anything for it at all...

You have it rough. I don't think I could handle it if my wife was as addicted as I am. The only thing that slows me down is a guilt conscious when I spend gobs of money on fish stuff. My wife thinks we should buy stuff like food and diapers. You got to love her.

Women... they're all the same. Diapers and food, bills and responsibilities, nag, nag, nag... J/K honey(shultzybabe). That evil little voice wispering..."you want attention... this is your chance..." LOL

Dave plus Angel plus LFS/Catalog/website order = empty checkbook & pacification!! Do we know it's kind of wrong? Sure we do! After the last huge purchase did we say we couldn't possibly want for anything more in our tank? Sure we did, but we forgot we were looking for just the right pagoda cup, and there are a few more things that would make the tank look stunning... I just have to find them! :) So I guess it just never ends and the tank just gets prettier and prettier! Can't beat that. I'll be snapping some pics today. I'll try to get some posted today! :)

Seriously think we really need to archive off that post and keep it around for a while, amybe right a Reefer's Guide to an empty wallet or something fun like that in the near future.

Sarah.... did you write these little jingles about the "upgrade bug" and "rescue response"? I read them in the other thread and they are so fitting and so adorably true!!

Yuppers ! came up with that all by my self! In between naps of course! :sleepdesk: Actually a friend and I came up with the Rescue Response a while back! We came to the conclustion that we didn't just go into the LFS with the intent to look or buy it was always a resuce mission! In fact just the other day I went to a chain store and told the girl that I was "going to the back to see what I could save!" Of course the dimwit didn't get it and followed me around going. " oh this one is cute can you have this?" It was a large Violation Lion!!!!!!! she didn't even KNOW he was venomous  And "How about this one?" Nope thats a rather large Parrot!!!! He'll eat my reef :bricked: What about this one with the black polka dots.... UMMMMM thats a PANTHER GROUPER if I want to FEED all my fish and shrimp to him thats what I'd buy! :banghead: It's so frustrating that's why there is no guilt! lol
But I do think we should start a 12 step program! :reading: If only to combat the rescue response! lol
