My tank has been up and running now for over 4 years, and I'm thinking about doing some fragging. I've never done anything like this before and I would like to do some research before I start. Which books are the best to read? Or if you have some good experience with fragging zenia and hammer corals please feel free to give me some pointers.

Rip and cut got it! This is my first time with this, I'm just a little scared.
I'm going to post some pics of my tank sometime tonight.

xenia actually grows better after being ripped apart
the other will be fine just try and cut the stalks as far from the heads as you can
I would get Calfo's HandBook of Coral Propagation. I have an old edition (water stained and all) and still use it as a reference guide.

Do not rip or tear if you want happy healthy specimens. Use very sharp scissors or a scalpel for softies like leathers and xenia. Bone cutters, or diamond cutting wheels on dremel work well for LPS.
