Here are some pics of my ever growing mixed reef tank. I have had it up now for just over 5 years. I have been careful in letting my tanks "Grow" so as not to look like a 180 gallon frag tank! LOL
So far so good thanks to the many people out there who are willing to share their information with me and are not afraid to give me pointers from time to time. Thanks to all:roll_eyes:
I would also like to thank the many people who have had an interest in trading/buying/selling with me. With out these folks I would not have the diversity of animal life in my tank that I have.

Let me know what you guys and gals think...here we go...

Thanks guys. I took some new pics today as this thing is constantly growing and changing. I am not very good with my cheap-o camera but you get the idea.

I think that all of our tanks look better in person so if anyone wants to stop by to see it and talk reef just let me know!

Anyone want to come over and take some better pics for me!?! LOL

Super sweeeet!

LOL, I was thinking the exact same thing!

Love the ricordea tower, Im a huge ric fan myself. Those mangroves look like they are doing really well for you too.

What's your favorite coral in your tank? Which one was the first you put in?

Rob-

I really like Rics too. You just get so much color and verity with them and the grow just about anywhere! LOL
The mangroves have done pretty good for me too. I have to trim them down once a month due to lack of space. I hear that they do not export as well as a Macro Algae but I like the looks of them.
My favorite coral in my tank would be my Lobo's. They have great color, are not aggressive and eat like horses! LOL
Some of my first corals are the Green Maze Brain that is now larger then a softball and the red lobo/brain. I also have a colony of Green Buttons that have all been wiped out like 3 times but keep coming back. They are huge at 1 1/2 or so. Pretty nice color but have to trim them back like a weed with a Kalk solution.

Demon-

I have to admit that I cheated and bought the Bam Bams as a colony. I have always wanted them and when I found a whole colony I just had to break the bank open and get them LOL. The trick for me is to not frag up everything when I find a colony. It takes patience and will power to do so but I think it is the best way to get that established reef look. Just my opinion. :)

OK looks like I just figured out how to "Multi Quote" LOL Yeahhhh!;)

I have had the pleasure of seeing this beauty in person and the pics simply do not do it justice (not that they ever really do ya know)! Amazing tank and great guy to shoot the fish poop with. Anyone that has the chance really should get over and check out Vega's tank its stunning in person without a doubt :)

Thanks for the props Chort. Let me know when you would like to stop by again and talk reef!

Thats funny Barry! Thanks! LOL

+1 I could definitely go for more pics of this beauty, and wondering how the sump redo is going for you as well.

Chris, the sump redo went pretty well. I was a bit concerned pulling out those HUGE mangrove plants....the root base on them must of been around 24 inches!! I did not have any issues releasing any gas from my DSB and all is going good.

Thanks again for the interest Rob. I will have to take some more pics when I get a chance as there have been a few changes. I got a crappy point and shoot so I really do not do a good job on the pics but it is cool to get something out there. I need a pro to come out and take some so that I can be submitted for TOM...any ideas?!!?!

You guys are always welcome to stop buy and take a look:fish2: Just let me know if you are interested.

Thanks again guys!:)
