Hi all,
So, came home today to find my light fixture, coralife CF 65x4, dark and only my dawn/dusk striplight on. HELP! I disconnected all four lights, both ballasts, unplugged and replugged wiring inside, and am still having the same problem. When i hit the switch to turn it on, all i get is a brief flash, and then nothing. After working with it for a while, i discovered that if i only plug one light in on each switch that it will turn the one bulb on.
let me draw a picture. lets say the bulbs are labelled, RF and RR for right/front and right/rear respectively, and LF and LR for left/front and left/rear respectively. If i plug one bulb into RF and one into RR they work fine. Likewise, if i plug a bulb into LF and into LR they do too. However, if i plug both bulbs into LF and RF i get the flash followed by nothing again. I am about to set it back up on my tank with only two bulbs running just to try and keep my corals alive until i can figure this out.
anyone?
p.s. if i plug a bulb into left/front, and i plug a light into right/rear, they work fine also. it appears that if both lights are on the same circuit they just wont work. Thank you for your time and input,
sincerely,
Adam
