just the normal power compacts. how big is the tank. you cant grow sps or anything high under them. the CF is also knows as Compact fluorescent which is the same as power compact bulbs

Oh~I was under the impression that 50/50 meant cf and atenic combined.

I have that lighting on my bio cube. The light is fine for fish, softies, zoos. It will not be enough for sps, clams. And lps is in the middle, good enough for some and not enough for others. Most my zoos are on the sand bed in the tank, the only ones that wanted more light were the armor of gods. I just put them higher in the tank. Oh and the 50/50 i believe is a type of bulb. My tank has one bulb of each not the combo 50/50 bulb.

50/50 usuually means a split bulb: one side of it is literally blue, which the other side of it is daylight. Remember, CF bulbs are a twin tube, so it's easy to pull off.

Of course, the problem with CF is that replacement bulbs are expensive, they don't last long once you get to the 36" length, they run hot, and they really don't have much PAR. Sort of a legacy technology as far as a reefing application, kinda like VHO (actually, more so). T5 is more effective and more efficient, and LED is emerging.
