Picked up two of these new style powerheads to see how well they move water. Got them on Tuesday and will hopefull get them wet on Monday to let everyone know what I think ;)

Can you also shed some light on how do they compare to a mp20/mp40?

I like the low profile of the MP40's but other than that I think they are pretty close in performance.

I just added a MP-40w this weekend. I think -- emphasis on THINK -- the Tunze 6100 had more flow. My daughter thinks so too. The Tunze seems to have better build quality (especially the controller) and is quieter --- but I do not have the right spacer, so that could augment the noise.

However, I am trying to reduce the tank junk footprint (racks, pumps, etc) so this is an interesting upgrade in that respect.
