Another experiment gone awesome.. You have a tank in every window facing the east now?

Very cool. Does the sun really effect the temp of the tank?

Scopus(brown)tangs are notorious for loving red macros... no guarantee though.

Your rock is very unique. Did you make your own? We've made quite a bit of our own, but the rock in that tank is constucted quite awesomely!

most of the rock in the tank is from the west desert here in utah.

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Some rock that I have heard is good for swa is Texas Holey rock. It is typically used on cichlid tank since it acts like a buffer for the ph. Doesnt raise it too much, but it is as expansive as ****. Looks great though. Very porous lime stone as well. Look into it if your interested.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

I'm sure you're speaking of lace rock... it may also leach phosphates.

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Nope no lace rock... it is completely different. Here is some material on it. #ed_op#A href="http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/tx_holey_rock.php"#ed_cl#http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/tx_holey_rock.php#ed_op#/A#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

i heard that that rock is really good for fresh water cichlids but it leaches bad stuff out in salt water just like lava rock.
