Looking for a new skimmer. Which one

ASM G 1x Needle Wheel G-Series (up to 150G)
aqua C EV-150
Euro reef

Which one is the best value for the $ ?

Like everyone else I want the best skimmer for the least amount of $$.

Let the debate begin.

ASM... same thing, but much less expensive. Mine(the same one) will be here Saturday. ASM and EuroReef are from a pair that did the designing then split. So the only diff is ASM uses extruded pvc and ER uses cell cast acrylic which is obviously alot more$$$. Nice skimmers... both of them.

I use asm g-1 skimmers on all 3 of my tanks and they work great.

Truly awesome skimmers, too... I have to admit that my opinion of the ER and ASM is based partly on the ease of dialing them in. And, of course, the plug -n- run feature.

Euro-reef has just introduced its budget line of skimmers(ES series uses extruded for the body and cell cast for the collection cup).I paid $200 for mine but ASM,ER,they're about the same. The AC EV is a beckett skimmer which requires alot of space/high powered pumps/tweaking but are quality skimmers as well.I prefer the needle-wheel skimmers(ER,ASM) because they're a simple design and pretty much plug-n-play.

I'll be adding a sedra 5000 needle-wheel to my DIY 6"x36" tota... I still may modify the height...l(have to remodel the collection cup) and order a 1" gate valve for the 1" out to sump. It seems that the needle wheel is truly the secret. I'm still going to use my new skimmer(ASM G 1x)and will add my DIY to the mix when I upgrade to a larger system.

It's here!!! I chose to do a twist, though... instead of the stock Sedra 3500(350 gph) I modified a Via Aqua 2600(740 gph) to do the job. Bubbles galore!!!! This skimmer is awesome and "turboed"... about 2 x's the stock flow. Anthony Calfo recommended doing whatever possible to supe up your skimmers... so what do ya think???
