This is my Nano I set up after my downgrade. I kept my favorite pieces of rock work and my bubble tip anemone.
Its the 29G HQI with the oceanic stand. It has been set up since March 2010.
The only thing I've upgraded was the light bulb from a 14K to a 20K, and adding a hydro flow .
I have plans to upgrade the skimmer and add a refugium light.
Along with upgrading the return pump. http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p168/xxevilpersonxx/088.jpg I ripped that thing open it was like Christmas.http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p168/xxevilpersonxx/091.jpg

This is one month later

Ok well i got my string of Leds today it has 90 bulbs total and draws around 24 watts. but pure uv bulb i guess equals GREEN... because thats the only color that popping:( it is my favorite color but i like a variety and my blue pink and yellow acros barley show any coloration. Maybe i should of gone with half Uv bulbsand half Cool blue or something. well i am happy anyways.

yes i was told that i wont want him in there to long if he croaks. he is very sensitive if there's a change in lighting he closes up,
any vibration around the tank the slightest. and i have to watch waterchanges because if part of his body is above the water line
he closes up for a week or more he is actually becoming trouble some since i ran out of phytofeast tuesday and he is purely a filter feeder.
when he opens up though its flat out majestic

Sir Patrick

04-30-2010, 10:37 PM

I know what purple and red make!!!

Less green!! :highfive3:

I would guess it would be a winning combo, along side the halide.

thanks i spent another half hour taking pics today also i figured if i devote ten min a day to photo shoots then id get some pics that will compare to some of the photography magicians on here "youngtimothy"

and thanks for support i think the best feeling is when someone admires your tank the worst is when someone looks at it and doesn't see what you see.

Mostly luck with a little bit of otherwise useless knowledge... flies always move backwards with they take off. I've also spent many, many hours with forceps catching and inspecting aquatic insects.

i just have the traditional oceanic pump alot of people use a maxijet 1200 but that is only a 30 gallon increase in flow i am going to be purchasing a vortec mp10 soon considering my other powerhead just broke. currently im using a hydroflow adapter until then.

I used the hydor flo deflector too on my old 29g biocube . It kept falling off so i wrapped Teflon tape around the nozzle and it stayed on pretty good. It also seem that the Hydor flo actually restricted flo so I ended up taking it off.
