Hey Rob,

I have some purple digi. Not looking very good looking at the moment... digis tend to be boom or bust for me. I'd be up for a trade but don't make it to your neck of the woods often/ever. So, if you ever come to the Lansing area...

I'll post a current pic soon so you can see if you're interested.

Tom are you going to the conference?

The MMC conference? Sadly no. It's my son's 2 year B-day weekend. So, I'll be cleaning house (and tank) in preparation for the party peoples.

My guess is that someone from MMMC will be going that might be able to help... hint, hint Jimflies

Sounds good to me! What would you like in trade? Do you have orange digi? Very bright delicious orange!

Hey Rob, IME if you don't have a ton of light, the purple digis turn brown. I got a very nice browned out one that under tons of light turns violet - see it turn in two different tanks, but in mine its puke brown. I'll throw it in for free if/when we ever trade for some zoas.

What type of light are you running? I don't have a ton of light (3 39watt t5s on a 50 breeder) and get nice purple coloration if I keep them in the upper portion of the tank.

Rob - I'm going to hold off on getting any new montis until I can get consistent growth on the ones I have. I'd be more interested in softies, rics or LPS. I think you might have green clove polyps... those are pretty cool.

The piece I have picked out for you is in the center of pic (~1" in diameter)

I have a few other things available if you're interested:

green-tip hammer coral
neon green pavona (WYSIWYG in top down shots)
red palys
PB cup look-a-like zoas (may be the real thing IDK)
orange center zoas
pink birds nest
green pocillipora

Let me know if you are and I will post pics.

Tom, I originally had mine top, slightly off center under a single 250w MH, 14k Phoenix and currently have 6 39w t5s. Still dirt brown. I've seen it color up in two tanks, one with 400w MH and one with 3 150w MH. I'm sure there is another factor besides light involved as well, because in the tank with 3 150w lights its colored up once, turned back to brown and hasn't ever colored up again.

I agree. My first thought is nutrients (based on the results seen from bacteria driven dosing) but my tank is anything but extremely low nutrient. The answer is probably out there somewhere... I just don't have it.

Thanks for the input Randy and Tom.
I still think I would like to get some from you Tom if possible?

Let's do this. I'll PM Jim to see if he'll be our frag mule.

Excellent!

Any interest in the other corals I listed? I only ask because I'm moving to a new house in June and want to reduce the number of duplicate corals I have to move. I'll post them for sale/trade soon but thought if you're interested it would be easier.

Jim agreed to be the middle-man. He mentioned possibly doing the exchange during the sponsor tour tomorrow. Personally I think it's his way of trying to get you to participate in the tour. Either event works for me.

One more plug. I have plenty of other corals for trade...
