Ok, guess i didnt research enough... but i purchased an orange tree gorgonian last week for my seahorse tank. Its doing pretty well i think, polyps are all extended and it loves to eat cyclops... my only problem is one branch has turned white and its spreading quickly. Should i cut it off? is this piece doomed? Ive tried looking online but haven't seen much significant info, any experience with this?

I don't have experience with non-photosynthetic gorgonians but if the tissue was falling off one of the branches of my photosynthetic gorgos I'd clip it off. I'm assuming that turning white is one step away from the tissue falling off. Any chance you could post a picture?
