It's always a good place to announce things like that. We saw it today also when placing an order for some clean up crew. You are always welcome to post anything you feel might be of interest to any member of this site! Thanks Limpit!

I am for sure going to attend. By that time I will need to pick up more salt mix and by getting it there I wont have to pay for the extra shipping. Another plus is my wife has relatives who live just north of there so we can do some visiting also. Looking forward to it (the Foster and Smith event more than the relitives part) LOL!

Toss a couple of power inverters in your truck to run a heater and some powerheads for a mobile reef :)

Heck you can do it!! lol :D
We drove from Cleveland Ohio to a freind's house in Tennesse 2 hours from Nashville and all we used was a colman cooler and a battery powered air pump from Wally Mart! 12 hour drive nary a problem and didn't loose a thing! In fact the napthia, orange zoa, pink zoa, gorgonia, and blue coral we have came from TN! Now that I think about it we had pple from both Arkansas and Wisconson at that swap! And Colorado, Texas, WVA and Lousianna, Indiana, so see it's doable! lol 8)
Besides think of all the stuff you could RESCUE!!!!! :rescuebug:

I was looking over the schedule for the weekend and it looks like the frag swap is Sat. only. What are your opinions on having the frags sit in bags from Sat. afternoon until getting home Sunday? I suppose its really no different than sending them through the mail but just in case I am going to bring along heat packs and gel ice packs depending on what the temps. will be then in August.

Just wanted to bump this up and ask if anyone is for sure going to go and would maybe want to meet.
We will be up there Friday evening for sure, leaving Slinger around 3 p.m.
Depending on the weather we are going to check out the Paulding Light in the U.P. Friday or Sat. night. It is less than an hour drive from Rhinelander.
If you are into paranormal stuff it is a must see.

Sounds like fun actually! I've really been out of the loop lately. As far as your corals in bags go, they should be fine as long as you stick with the same packing theory that Catalog Co. go with when they ship. Oxygen in the bag would be important IMO, and with the weather the way it's been going...sounds like chillers may be in order. We haven't put anything new in our tank in ages. I guess we could swap some stuff, but we haven't even considered going. It may be worth thinking about, but we'd better think quick! Sometimes the spur of the moment stuff is more fun than the over planned! :)

For those who are not able to go I will post a full report on the event, sort of like I did with the Milwaukee zoo Sting Ray exhibit. The exception will be of the key note speaker portion of the weekend which I am not going to attend. .
