Hi All Reef Types,

I was hoping for some advice regarding my wilty looking corals. They were doing great last week. I did a water change on Sunday. I checkled the calcium and that checks fine. The salt content is good. I'm running the tank at 82 deg. Any thoughts???

Thank you,

Is it possible to bring the temp down? Your still in the safe zone, o just prefer to run my tanks a little cooler.
How's the flow in the tank?

Good flow, 41 gallon with 2 kor. powerheads. I thought 82 was optimum butagain I'm a newbie. Just got a ReefKeeper 2 today!

Thank you

I would lower temps if possible. You are hovering close to danger zone. If you run cooler you have a little more room if you get a heat spike.

Whats your salinity setting at??

If my corals were lookin "deflated" I would run a full screen of water parameter tests. If you dont have the proper test kits, get a hold of your local fish store- they will probly help you out.

When you get test info- post them up!! Lookin forward to helping get this one figured out.

Update: Received good advice from all of you. I did another water change and dropped the temp. from 82 to 76. All of the corals are now smiling!!

Thank you,

Good news, just be cautious to not to drop the temp too quickly. Also be aware that your now hovering at the "too cool" temp. Just an FIY I keep both my tanks at 77.5 to 78.5.
