this article is about the new florida marlins new stadium.

Apparantly the back stop has two large aqauriums built into it which are what seems viewable from both sides.

I guess i see this kinda pointless after awhile, those baseballs are going to be hitting that what im sure is going to be plexi, as such a force, its going to be interesting to see what happens to it.

Hopefully they have all aspects of the aquarium thought out as im assuming they do.

but imagine the temp swings, with florida sun beaming down on that thing.

im more worried about the ball, striking the whatever glass they use.

they are using 1.5" acrylic with lexan which is what they use for bulletproofing police cars. I just can see it gunna scratch like a MoFo

It's still kind of a cool idea. I'm sure they have considered the heat.... or at least I hope so! That's gonna be one massive chiller!

I think its a very cool idea.
But after reading the article they made it sound like 1 tank will be a 600 gal , and the other a 450 ? Sounds nice but thats not really that big of a tank. KEE's has a 1000 gal just in their showroom. Plus look at the artists drawing, its funny they make the tanks look about 50'x2'x2'

I'm not really sure they were going for 'the bigger the better.' I think the stadium designers were going more for a 'wow' factor, and so far they've achieved that.
